Shawn Lacy (Arnold), aka Mz Officer, created the "10-Step Do-It-Yourself: Erase Your Criminal Record Guide." She grew up in Houston's 5th Ward, attended the High School for Health Professions, and got her BA in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University. She has served her country and community for over 30 years as a U.S. Army Soldier, Texas Peace Officer and Harris County Justice System Advocate.
Shawn has worked in many roles, including as a Harris County Sheriff’s Office Records Clerk, police officer, deputy constable, member of the Gang Task Force, truancy officer, and Rape Aggression Defense instructor. She is the visionary behind Legal Gangsta™® and works as a Texas Private Investigator with her brother, Reginald.
With her love for justice and helping people, Shawn has been helping Harris County residents erase their criminal records for the past 20+ years. She knows the Texas Justice System well, having both served in it and experienced its impact on her own family.
